It might seem like an odd thing to wish for at Christmastime, but for folks facing the reality of a bed bug infestation, they are an absolute must.

There are many financial hardships borne by those battling an infestation of bed bugs. Regardless of whether they hire a professional exterminator, or try to exterminate bed bugs themselves, they will be spending a great deal of money. So if you happen to know someone who has recently discovered bed bugs in their home or condo, consider giving them the gift of protection!

There are two basic types of bed bug protectors; protectors for beds, and protectors for couches. The protectors for beds generally come in two types as well, though they are very similar: a bed bug protector for the mattress and a separate protector for the box spring.

Bed bug couch covers, on the other hand, do one thing, and do it well. They are designed solely to protect an expensive couch from bed bugs! Of course, if the infestation is already underway, they can also be used to kill the bed bugs where they lie. While this will mean leaving your couch covered for up to two years, it’s still much cheaper than purchasing a whole new couch!

So if you have friends or family who have recently discovered a bed bug infestation (or even if they just live in a bed bug-prone area, like New York City), consider sending them the gift of protection: bed bug protectors for all the furniture in their house!

When most folks hear the words “bed bugs,” they naturally think about beds, right? The sad truth, however, is that beds aren’t the only place these hungry parasites will take up residence. Couches, loveseats, recliners and other furniture pieces are favorite hiding places as well. The great news is that if you have a bed bug problem (or if you’re just trying to avoid one, because neighbors or other nearby buildings have them), protection is available for your sofa in the form of bed bug couch covers.

In addition to keeping bed bugs away when sprayed around door sills and window openings, it will also kill bed bugs on contact. Best of all, it has a subtle, pleasant, minty scent – much unlike most other pesticides! Scram is available in the single spray bottle size shown at left, but there are other options as well.
